Blogversary and Storybook Saturday

 and

This is a long post - please stick with me until the end.

At the end of this post is the reveal for my Kwanzaa - Literacy and Craft Unit

Also at the end of it is my Storybook Saturday post - I would love it if you joined me by linking up. It happens every Saturday and my books are Halloween books - yours can be anything
So for today and the next 2 days I will place a freebie on my facebook page that you can download - all I ask is that you like my facebook page  if you haven't already.
Each freebie will be available for one day only and will then be removed.

I would love it if you left a comment about this or any other freebie of mine you have downloaded this week. We all love feedback.

Today's freebie.......
 Initial Sound Posters

These are great to brainstorm words with your grade.
I enlarged my set to A3 and we add to them all the time. They hang on ropes across our room.

click here for your freebie - remember it is only available for one day.

Last night I also finished my Kwanzaa Pack and I am really pleased with it. We have a couple of families who celebrate this and I wanted to get my head around it well before it happens in December.

Storybook Saturday

Welcome to Storybook Saturday. Each Saturday, link up with me to share a story book/s you have read or are about to read this week.

My theme this week is Halloween
I own these gorgeous books and just love them.
While we don't celebrate Halloween here, that doesn't mean that we can't enjoy these gorgeous books.
So Happy Halloween to those who celebrate/acknowledge it.

Farmer Brown doesn't like Halloween, so he shuts and locks the door. But the animal are not having that. A funny 'first costume' prize.

This won a 'notable book' from the 'Children's Book Council of Australia" - is great for older primary kids and learning to label. Bit scary for K-2.

This is a spot the ghost book and great for counting and it has an answer key in the back. Has a great wanted poster in it.

Well, what can I say about this book - I love it!

Rhyming words and very funny.

There are not many rules but please abide by them

Post about the storybook you have read or are about to read.
Add the above graphic with a direct link back to Paula's Place
Link up by adding your post link to the link up below
No direct links to stores - only blog posts please
You may choose one book or a few books.

Happy stalking me over the week and a huge thankyou for visiting my little blog.

  1. Wow...thanks Paula. These are the cutest posters. I am going to A3 print them and laminate as mini reusable posters. Can wait to use them with my new Kinders in 2014. Thanks for your generousity and helping me be organised by getting them ready now!

    1. I love them too! Laminating them is great. If you use whiteboard marker - they will be good for many years.
