A session with our buddies

Today we went to our buddy grade and we talked natural disasters.

We brainstormed what they are and what happens when they occur.

These are amazing illustrations and the information that was recorded was a product of great conversations.

Our buddies are great.

Here are photos of some of our work.

Five for Friday - 25th April (late)

Here are my five randoms for this week

I am late as I have had an internet issue.....but all sorted now

I have been away from my computer and absent from blogging due to
my friend Melinda and I both turning 50!
It has been term break here and we both took another week off as Long Service Leave.
We decided to take our girls for a trip to Singapore for about a week.
We crammed in so much sightseeing - the Supertrees are amazing by day or night. There are walkways between them and as you can see we were able to take amazing photos.
We went up on the Marina Bay Sky Deck and had a cocktail.
The Singapore Flyer let us see the lovely city from a huge height too.
Raffles Hotel and a Singapore Sling is a must.

 Photo

Friday was ANZAC DAY.
On this day we publicly remember all those we have lost in war.
Our entire nation stops for a day - public holiday everywhere and there is a dawn service as well as one mid morning.

I am working on a series of packs for letter/sound recognition. They are keeping me busy.

We were so lucky to be able to go the Annie Leibovitz Photography Exhibition.
Above is a photo of her and one of her mother in the background,.

An amazing way to spend a lazy four hours...........her art is moving!

I am so lucky to have the lovely family I have - my daughter and I had high tea together this week.
My husband and son avoid the camera as much as possible.
Holidays are great.

A busy week...

I have put the finishing touches on these packs and they have been posted.
To check any of them out click on the image and it will it take you straight to each one.

This weekend is Easter and these two packs compliment each other as well as a pack I did last year.
Hopping into Easter which is a Math and Writing pack.

On the 22nd April is Earth Day and this contains lots of ideas for you to use to help our kids to think about the impact we make on our planet. It gives ideas to help manage our footprint too!

These two were fun to put together and will assist in writing Information Reports.
I just love the wonderful graphic artists out there - they are all amazing and buying great clip art has become an addiction of mine lately.

This was a request by a buyer and it is a great way to investigate a Fairy Tale and why Goldilocks should say sorry.

These two are a culmination of tasks I have done over the last 29 years and I know they work in helping children learn letters and sounds.
There will be more to come - but please be patient.
'Tt' will be next......
When the first six are done - they will also be posted as a bundle.

I will be putting away my computer for a period of time to enjoy what is left of our term break.
Happy Easter everyone and be safe over the holiday period.

This week...

This week we have been enjoying our Easter Break. I have been trying to squeeze in some work on Natural Disasters - stay tuned.

Five for Friday - 11th April

Here are my five randoms for this week

We are on term break here so these really are five randoms......

This week started off with a limo ride around the country side and visiting some magnificent wineries. All to celebrate some birthdays and what a gorgeous way to spend the day. Many laughs, old music and a glass or two of the nice stuff.

We have a fantastic store in town and anyone local will know it by the wrapping. It is called "Wen and Ware" and I just love it. As we are on term break, Tony and I went there for a coffee and and I fell in love with these cups. So we purchased them and when they said gift or for you - well a gift for us, so they wrapped it. I just love my new coffee cups.

On our last day of school our team mapped out our curriculum for the rest of the year. We spent the day planning together for next term and it looks exciting.
I will share the plans when they are typed up.....

My very good friend, Liz, and I are celebrating a major birthday this year - the big 50 and we always said we would go to Africa. This year didn't quite work, but I have picked up some brochures and maybe next year!

My daughter and I will be away over Easter again this year.
My husband and son said they wanted to do Easter before we leave.
So I have got out our Easter decorations and placed them around the house.
Here are a few of our decorations.
Even though my son is 18 - his Easter nest is ready!
