Sunday link ups - 6th Oct

Today is our last day of  our two week break.
Sad face!
Sunday night and here it is

Here is my game for this week -
Ludo - an old board game

This is great for trusting the count when rolling dice, one to one counting, taking turns, strategy when deciding which counter to use and also socialising. Many of our kids don't get to play these types of games anymore - I say bring them back!

Now for a Peek at my Week with Mrs Laffin

Daylight saving started today.
Our two teenagers will get a big shock tomorrow - first day back at school, getting up will be a struggle.

First day back at school and it will be busy - that is my coaching day. I am released on Monday to work with staff for coaching purposes. I work with two teachers on Maths planning for an hour and half. Then I work with the other coaches and coach them as well as attend a meeting with our Principal to look at team directions, targets, teacher capacity and planning for coaching short and long term.

My first day in the classroom with my Preps - 5 and 6 year olds. I can't wait to see what they have been up to in their break and we start our new inquiry unit on toys. Check my previous post on planning.
We have our staff meetings on Tuesdays and I am part of a team that are taking staff through investigating our new curriculum and supporting them in their own inquiries to lift their own capacity in the classroom.

Teaching and also planning Daily 5 with a teaching buddy. This is also part of my coaching role.
Our Prep team meet after school to look at cohorts of children and what we are doing to support their learning.

A teaching day and after school I am getting my eyes checked - I know I need new glasses.!

A teaching day and dinner out with my family.

    1. I would love one more day - I would love to complete a 'pumpkin' project I am working on. But no luck, maybe next weekend.
In my teaching career I have been so lucky to have worked with the most inspirational people who have supported me and I have learnt so much from them.
