The sounds that our letters make

20% off for two days - this new pack is at a discount price for a short time

42 pages
These are the Sounds for our Letters using the Queen’s English.
This pack will assist in helping to teach the sounds that our letters make.
It shows if the sound is a vowel or a consonant, a long or short sound and has examples of the sounds in words.
They are sequenced in the order that is easiest to teach and make the most common used words.

There are two sizes - The larger size can be used as a powerpoint or set of posters.
Use the file as a PDF and just scroll through as a slide show on your Smartboard or Interactive Screen.
The smaller size can be used as small cards on rings or smaller posters.

CVC and Medial Sound Tasks

I have a group of kids that needed to work on CVC words this week and revise those tricky medial sounds.

These tasks have come from my CVC word pack

My holiday job list...

Today, in our state we start a two week break.

For us it is winter break and the forecast looks terrible.

We have huge winds and rain coming our way.

So what is on the horizon? This is the first break in a while that we are not traveling anywhere and our plan is to do some stuff around the house.

I am hoping to get my phonics work completed, do a unit on biological science, finish my 'GOLD' unit and maybe start some of my Nursery Rhyme projects, mmmmmmmmmmmmm wonder how that will go?

Here is my first Phonic Bundle and I have grouped them so that once these 6 letters/sounds are known, you can make many words with them.

S-A-T-P-I-N - how many can you make?

I have put them all in one bundle - click here or on the image below
You can purchase each letter/sound separately.

You can click on the individual images for individual letter/sound packs

Each set has three posters, a series of sound cards to use for tasks, print and go tasks and a small reader that reinforces sight words as well a the letter/sound.

These are also individual packs, but not yet in bundles

I only have h, r, m, o, u, l, f, j, z, w, v, y, x and qu!

More Phonics packs posted

Boy - I have had requests for these packs and when I have done H-R-M and posted them - there will also be another bundle posted.

It is really important to note that not all students need all letters. We must do an assessment to see what letters and sound they do need. So you may only need some of these packs for your kids.

These packs contain many ideas and you will need to choose tasks for your kids. They couldn't do all of them. Sometimes when we introduce the sound, we need other tasks for revisiting the sound and letter. These packs will give you plenty of variety and suit every child in your grade.

Phonics for strugglers

If you have kids who are struggling to remember sounds or a new group who need to learn sounds - this second series will help you.
I have already posted about the
S-A-T-P-I-N series and each individual pack.
This 'Bb" pack is the first in the second series and is now posted in my store.
This series will take me a while before it is done....

A busy week...

I have put the finishing touches on these packs and they have been posted.
To check any of them out click on the image and it will it take you straight to each one.

This weekend is Easter and these two packs compliment each other as well as a pack I did last year.
Hopping into Easter which is a Math and Writing pack.

On the 22nd April is Earth Day and this contains lots of ideas for you to use to help our kids to think about the impact we make on our planet. It gives ideas to help manage our footprint too!

These two were fun to put together and will assist in writing Information Reports.
I just love the wonderful graphic artists out there - they are all amazing and buying great clip art has become an addiction of mine lately.

This was a request by a buyer and it is a great way to investigate a Fairy Tale and why Goldilocks should say sorry.

These two are a culmination of tasks I have done over the last 29 years and I know they work in helping children learn letters and sounds.
There will be more to come - but please be patient.
'Tt' will be next......
When the first six are done - they will also be posted as a bundle.

I will be putting away my computer for a period of time to enjoy what is left of our term break.
Happy Easter everyone and be safe over the holiday period.
