A session with our buddies

Today we went to our buddy grade and we talked natural disasters.

We brainstormed what they are and what happens when they occur.

These are amazing illustrations and the information that was recorded was a product of great conversations.

Our buddies are great.

Here are photos of some of our work.

Frogs and Ladybugs

These are now available in my TPT store

My Frog packet has 55 pages and is USA CCSS and Aus Curriculum aligned

Flap Book
This will be a record of learning as you move through the information about frogs. Put the book together first– instructions are included. Complete the first page before you start the unit. As you progress through the unit complete the pages in order. The students may go back and add information as they learn new things.

Print and go! These posters will enable your students to have access to facts and diagrams. They will assist in correct spelling when displayed. There are two sets – the second set has detailed information. The third set has the life cycle.

A Reader
Print and go! This will give you two books – copy and staple together and then cut in half. Re read and place in your class library.

Jigsaw task
Print and laminate for long term use. These jigsaws (break up cards) will assist in matching words to pictures to a statement.

Five for Friday - 25th April (late)

Here are my five randoms for this week

I am late as I have had an internet issue.....but all sorted now

I have been away from my computer and absent from blogging due to
my friend Melinda and I both turning 50!
It has been term break here and we both took another week off as Long Service Leave.
We decided to take our girls for a trip to Singapore for about a week.
We crammed in so much sightseeing - the Supertrees are amazing by day or night. There are walkways between them and as you can see we were able to take amazing photos.
We went up on the Marina Bay Sky Deck and had a cocktail.
The Singapore Flyer let us see the lovely city from a huge height too.
Raffles Hotel and a Singapore Sling is a must.

Friday was ANZAC DAY.
On this day we publicly remember all those we have lost in war.
Our entire nation stops for a day - public holiday everywhere and there is a dawn service as well as one mid morning.

I am working on a series of packs for letter/sound recognition. They are keeping me busy.

We were so lucky to be able to go the Annie Leibovitz Photography Exhibition.
Above is a photo of her and one of her mother in the background,.

An amazing way to spend a lazy four hours...........her art is moving!

I am so lucky to have the lovely family I have - my daughter and I had high tea together this week.
My husband and son avoid the camera as much as possible.
Holidays are great.

A busy week...

I have put the finishing touches on these packs and they have been posted.
To check any of them out click on the image and it will it take you straight to each one.

This weekend is Easter and these two packs compliment each other as well as a pack I did last year.
Hopping into Easter which is a Math and Writing pack.

On the 22nd April is Earth Day and this contains lots of ideas for you to use to help our kids to think about the impact we make on our planet. It gives ideas to help manage our footprint too!

These two were fun to put together and will assist in writing Information Reports.
I just love the wonderful graphic artists out there - they are all amazing and buying great clip art has become an addiction of mine lately.

This was a request by a buyer and it is a great way to investigate a Fairy Tale and why Goldilocks should say sorry.

These two are a culmination of tasks I have done over the last 29 years and I know they work in helping children learn letters and sounds.
There will be more to come - but please be patient.
'Tt' will be next......
When the first six are done - they will also be posted as a bundle.

I will be putting away my computer for a period of time to enjoy what is left of our term break.
Happy Easter everyone and be safe over the holiday period.
